Some Interesting Jupiter Facts
Jupiter is located after Mars becoming the fifth planet closest to the Sun.
The temperature on the surface of Jupiter is around -108°C, making it an impossible for a human creature to live on it.
The name of the planet derives from the ancient Roman king of all gods. Others claim that the planet’s name comes from the Greek mythology – the god Zeus while third believe it should be called Marduk – the Babylon’s god.
The most distinctive characteristic of Jupiter is the Great Red Storm which is approximately 350 years old and its size can swallow two times Earth.
If the conditions are excellent on Earth you can observe Jupiter during the night. Only 5 of all 12 planets in the Solar System are so bright that can be seen with a human eye. Jupiter is one of those five, together with Venus, Mercury, Saturn and Mars.
